Lambert Glacier in East Antarctica holds the Guiness World Record for being the WORLD'S LARGEST GLACIER . It's about 100km wide,400km long ang 25,000m deep.
It drains 8% of the Antarctic ice sheet and south of the Prince Charles Mountains and flows northwards to the Amery Ice Shelf.
The glacier was delineated and named by American geographer John H Roscoe in 1952.
